part of a series exploring themes of memory, identity, and the natural world through the medium of printmaking. The ghostlike figure, fading rooftops, and oversized leaf are drawn from real places but appear dreamlike—suspended between past and present.
This piece was created using copper plate etching, combining soft ground for the textured leaf impression, hard ground for fine linear work, and aquatint to create delicate tonal variations in the background. Each step was etched by hand in acid baths, inked, and printed using an etching press, making every print a labor of love.
