Faberge 106 x 86 cm

€1,000.00

106 x 86 cm

Oil on canvas

We will deliver personally nationwide please email info@ballyrogan.com to organise this.

I produced this work post my trip to Brussels. There I was picked to do a mural in a bedroom wall , of the Blooms Hotel, which was a reproduction of one of my oil paintings.

The inspiration for Faberge came from meeting a collection of international Artists there. We all had a week to create our completed room. Lots were young and all were so talented. The idea of blending new works of contemporary Art within the old walls of the refurbished Blooms hotel seemed amazing. Faberge is a blend of the old with the new.

I stretch my own canvas using canvas or linen. Usually in multiples for a series of work.
I work with acrylics and oils. When using Acrylic paint I like to mix the pigment with a carrier solution to determine the intensity of the colour. When working with oils I usually work slowly with multiple layers, adding and subtracting elements to the work. A series of work develops around a central theme, working from my sketches and my photograph research.
