This is a silkscreen print on fine art paper. It is part of a series where I made a concertina book; I printed each individual page and then sewed them all together and made the covers and I bound them together in a traditional bookbinding method. I also pulled a series of fine art prints from each of the pages because I had exposed the image onto a screen and I developed that up in lots of really thin layers of beautiful ink that I mixed myself.

The idea behind the work was about fading memories and how every time we remember something the memory changes slightly so this one was looking at our family history and I gathered together lots of artefacts that have been in the family for generations; photographs, silverware and each page you see the same image but some of the items are taken out so it's like you can't really remember every single item that was in the first image and the memories slowly fades away.
